Mr. James Howard Bolton, 60, a resident of Dry Creek Road near Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday October 2, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Bolton will be conducted Friday, Ocotober 4, 2002 at 3:00 P.M. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Reverend William Owens officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:00 until 9:00 at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of Nettie Collins Bolton of Columbia and the late John Howard Bolton. He was the husband of Jean Powell Bolton of Mt. Pleasant. He was a sales clerk for Maury Farmers Co-op of Mt. Pleasant and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church. He was a mens and womens softball coach for many years.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Dana John Riddle of Summertown; three sons, James Howard Wendy Bolton, Jr., Pete Kasey Bolton, and Homer Bolton all of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Ethel Junior Nolen and Betty Roy Grooms both of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers, Harry Faye Bolton and Robert Barbara Bolton both of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren, Jessi Riddle, Ty Riddle, Nick Bolton, Hayden Bolton, and Madison Bolton. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeri Ann Bolton and a brother, J.P. Bolton.
His nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the friends and employees of Maury Farmers Co-op.
