James Paul Green

James “Jimmy” Paul Green Jr., age 59, of Columbia TN, passed away on July 12, 2024.

Jimmy was born October 12, 1964, in Columbia to the late James “Pete” Green and the late JoAnn Brown Green. 

Jimmy loved watching sports. His favorite teams were the Tennessee Titans, the Atlanta Braves, and the UT Vols – the Vols being his absolute favorite. Jimmy loved comic books and going to the movies to see all of the characters brought to life. He loved music and going to concerts, and had just asked his son, Brady, if he would go with him to see Aerosmith for his birthday. Jimmy never met a stranger. In all of his years delivering pizzas and working bread routes, he grew very close to all the people he met. He loved talking, laughing, and swapping stories with them. Jimmy is survived by his son, Brady (Bethany) Green, step-daughter Connie Mullins, step-grandchildren Audree and Aiden; brothers, Barry (Karen) Clark, and Jamie (Ann) Reed; and step-brothers, Larry Kent (Donna) Younger and Van Kurt (Beverley Jean) Younger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Donald Wayne Green, stepmother, Peggy Jean Green, and step-brother, Howard Younger.

Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 17th with a devotional immediately following from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Jimmy will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
