James Goodloe

Mr. James M.?Jimmy? Goodloe, 91 , a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2006, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Goodloe will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 am at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Emily Barker Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrence Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 3 :30 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Robert Long and Mary Howard Goodloe and the widower of Pauline Gabel Goodloe. He attended Hay Long High School in Mt. Pleasant and retired from Stauffer Chemical as a Lab Superintendent. He served our country during World War II in the United States Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post #10 in Mt. Pleasant and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, James M. Veronica Goodloe, Jr and John B. Loretta Goodloe both of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Tina Johnson, Robin Pilkinton and Michael Pilkinton both of Columbia, Vikki Greg O?Brien of Franklin, TN; great-grandchildren, William Pilkinton, Graci Pilkinton, Rachel Johnson, Robert Johnson all of Columbia, TN, Cash O?Brien of Franklin, TN.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Honeycutt.
Pallbearers will be Jim McGrew, Billy Dial, Hunt Dugger, Vance Brummel, W.D. Dawson and Pete Clark.
