James Frederick Swafford

James ? Jim? Frederick Swafford, 53, born August 5, 1956 at Ft. Meade, MD passed July 16th from a heart attack, at his residence.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Williams Funeral Home of Columbia will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
He was the son of Dora Foster Swafford of Columbia and the late Carlton D. Swafford. He was a USAF veteran, and worked as a computer programmer for Farm Bureau, Aladdin Industries and Bridgestone. Jim loved diving and was in the Coast Guard. He was a great artist and painted many pictures for his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Michael Terri Swafford of Lebanon, one sister, Carla Duren Darren Singleton of Spring Hill; one son, James Amy F. Swafford II of Farmville, N.C.; three daughters, Amanda Garry Greenhill of Cape Girardeau, MO, Fallon Wes Cothren and Hillary Swafford both of Lawrenceburg, two step children, Brigette Milam Collins and Brian Milam of Waynesboro, seven grandchildren and five step grandchildren.
