James E. Foster, age 81, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at his residence.
James was born on April 3, 1933 to the late Ralph Womack and Veda Eller Wofford in Madison, Illinois. James served his country during the Korean War. He married Ms. Imelda Perry and the two shared almost forty-seven wonderful years together. James was a great husband and uncle. He loved to barbeque and watch Television. James worked as a maintenance supervisor at Poplar Bluff Housing Authority where he retired. He was a member at St. Catherine’s.
James is survived by his loving wife Imelda Perry Foster; sisters Charlotte Gill and Floretta Barriner both of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; brother Carroll Foster of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; sister-in-law Barbara Foster; special cousin John Foster of Granite City, Illinois; nephew Mike Foster of Smyrna, Tennessee; and niece Ginger Harper of Thompson’s Station, Tennessee.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Columbia, Tennessee. Inurnment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19.
