James Ferguson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Ferguson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who left us on August 3, 2023, in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. James was born on February 22, 1935, to the late Russell and Lillian Ferguson and was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Ferguson, and siblings, Bobby Ferguson and Ruby Nance.

During his youth, James found immense joy in the outdoors, relishing the pleasures of fishing and hunting. He was a natural people person, never meeting a stranger, and would light up any room with his charming and jovial personality. He had a unique gift for humor, and his wit and playful banter brought smiles and laughter to those around him. His family and friends fondly remember him as a jokester with a heart of gold.

Above all else, James cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored beyond measure. He was a devoted husband to Betty Ferguson, a loving father to Don Ferguson and Kim Mosley (Allen), and a doting grandfather to Chance, Wesley, and Addy Mosley; and brother: David Wayne Ferguson (Cathy) His presence in their lives was a source of unwavering support and love.

James was a man of faith and a dedicated member of Liberty Baptist Church, where he found solace and community with his church family. His devotion to his faith was evident in the way he lived his life, always seeking to be a positive influence on those around him.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. The service for James will be Monday, August 7,2023, at 1:00 PM with Jim Ledbetter officiating at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.
