Mr. James Eugene Jett, age 78, a resident of Timber Trail in Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
Funeral services for Mr. Jett will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Culleoka.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 4:00 ? 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Marshall County native was the son of the late Jodie Clifford Jett and Janie E. Smith Jett. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and was of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include the mother of his children: Mary Frances Hickman Jett of Columbia; five daughters: Wanda Jimmy Dean of Mt. Pleasant, Deborah Larry Dean Williams of Readyville, TN, Pamela Diane Kinslow of Clarksville, Beverly McCormick of Columbia and Teresa Anthony Marshall of Columbia; three sons: Larry Darlene Jett of Summertown, Edwin Cheryl Jett of Lakeland, FL, and Darryl Jett of Columbia; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers: J.M. Betty Jett of Mooresville and Clayton Myrna Jett of Columbia; one sister: Beatrice Rowe of Florence, AL and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Marshall, Larry Dean Williams, Rick Tiffner, Thomas Dean, Terry Hildenbrandt and Jimmy Dean.
