James E. Collins, Sr.

Mr. James ?Jimmy? E. Collins, Sr., 55, a resident of North Main Street in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Collins will be conducted 12:00 noon, Friday, March 17, 2006 at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend William Owens officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and Thursday from 4:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of Jack Collins and the late Lois M. Frost Collins. He was a self employed heavy equipment operator, a truck driver, a US Army veteran and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant.
He is survived by a son, James Jennifer Collins, Jr. of Linden; wife, Mary Gail Collins of Mt. Pleasant; a granddaughter, Kaylee Collins of Linden; five brother, Donald Patty Collins, Jackie Connie Collins and Mike Brenda Collins, all of Mt. Pleasant, Billy Patty Collins of Culleoka and Glenn Debbie Collins of Buffalo, WV; two sisters, Patricia Luttrell and Cynthia Michael Wiseman, both of Culleoka. He was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Estis and a nephew, Donald Ray Collins, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Danny Grooms, Roy Wayne Grooms, Charlie Grooms, Tony Grooms, Arnold Grooms and Timmy Owens. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces, nephews and friends.
