A native of Maury County, James Earl Dooley, age 80, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
James was born May 14, 1933, to the late J.C. & Ada Belle Lemay Dooley. He served a four year term in the United States Air Force. In November of 1970, James married his wife, Sara Dooley. James was employed as an Assistant Chemist at Stauffer for forty years then later worked as an electrician. He was a member of the Mason Lodge, 32nd Degree. James was a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services for James Earl Dooley will be Friday, April 18, at 3:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. An inurnment will follow the service at Polk Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday prior to the service from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.
Survivors for Mr. Dooley include: his wife, Sara Dooley; son, Kenneth Dooley; daughter, Sharon Dooley (William) Warfield; step-son, Ric Landers; grandchildren: Jason Kristopher (Alisha) Dooley, James Joseph (Tracy) Dooley, Dr. Richard (Amy) Landers, Melanie April Landers, Michael Bailey, Angela Marie Haley, Regina Leigh Bailey, Ashley Warfield McMinn; great-grandchildren: Lane Dooley, Kaylee Dooley, Hayden Dooley, Rhett Dooley, Chayton Landers, Mazzy Landers, Izabella Landers, Zoe Elizabeth Haley, Travis Yugene Haley, Tyler Lawrence Warfield, Elizabeth Noelle Bailey Chandler, Kaitlyn Marie Elizabeth McMinn, Brooklyn Nicole McMinn, Christian Michael Bailey, Hunter Nichol Bailey, Savannah Jordan Bailey, and Braelyn Jane Bailey.
