James Calvin Fitzgerald

James Calvin Fitzgerald was born July10, 1943 in Maury County to the late Calvin Felix Fitzgerald and Rebecca Skinner Fitzgerald. Calvin and his wife, Glenda Sullivan Fitzgerald, were married for 48 years and were blessed with four children. He was the owner of Columbia Antique Auction and there was nothing he loved more than antiquing and going to auctions with his best friend, M.D. Henslee. Calvin loved the Lord and was a member of the Zion Acres Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to his wife include their children, Cathy Mark Love of Culleoka, Sam Fitzgerald of Nashville, Tommy Rachel Fitzgerald of Columbia and Regina Les Pelham of Columbia; grandchildren, Steven Rankin of Columbia, Brandon Gibson of Culleoka, Justin Fitzgerald of Fairview, William Love of Culleoka, Andrew Love of Columbia, LesLee Dimick of Columbia, C.J. Horton of Columbia and Katelynn Pelham of Columbia; two great-grandsons, Christopher Gibson and Michael Gibson; one brother, Roger Fitzgerald and three sisters, Ann Stanfill, Elaine McGee and Jean Ethridge, all of Columbia along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fitzgerald was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Fitzgerald and two sisters, Estelle Wyatt and Reba Parker.

Calvin passed away early on Friday morning at his residence after a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Danny McConnell officiating. Burial will follow in the Hardison Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 4:00 -8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Henry McMahan, Jason McConnell, Clinton Lee, Stephen McConnell, Troy Counts, Donald McConnell and Stacey McConnell. Honorary pallbearer will be M.D. Henslee and all the members of Zion Acres Freewill Baptist Church.
