James Comer Brooks

Mr. James C. Brooks, age 76, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

James was born on April 29, 1940 in Maury County to James C. and Edna McClain Brooks, Sr. He was retired after 50 years of service to Mt. Pleasant Power System. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being outdoors. He was of the Church of Christ faith.

Jim is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years: Mary Malugin Brooks; son: Roger E. Brooks; Grandchildren; Tabatha (Lee) Williams and Roger Wayne (Tabitha) Brooks; great-grandchildren: Paxton Brooks, Madddox and Maggie Williams, Aria and Dann
ica Brooks; Niece: Jennette Fornshell; sisters: Judy (Gene) Baxter, Nancy (Bobby) England, Pam McKennon and Marie Carroll; brother: Johnny (Marty) Brooks; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents: James C. and Edna McClain Brooks, Sr.; sister: Linda Grigsby and; great-granddaughter: Kennedy Monroe Brooks.

The family will visit with friends on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.

Honorary pallbearers will be the gentlemen at Mt. Pleasant Power where he worked for so many years.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice.
