James Robert Black, Sr.

Mr. James Robert Black, Sr., age 65, of Ethridge, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 at his residence.
James was born on September 27, 1951 to Thomas and Georgia Conner Black. He was a millwright in the lumber industry. He was a good hearted outdoorsman, and was known as a small talkin’ hero.
He is survived by his children: Robert (Kristin) Black, Libby (Len) Bradley, Melissa Black and Martha Black; and his grandchildren: Kayla Black, Hannah Scott, Madison Snepp, Alexis Black, Tyler John, Landon Black, Chasity Black, Alexia Bradley, Giovanni Bradley, Charlie Bradley, Payton Grace and Gabriel Thomas; and one great grandson, Alec Dickey. He was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Georgia Conner Black.
Funeral services for Mr. Black will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Jason Love officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah Ridge Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. on Friday prior to the funeral service.
