James O. Berry

Mr. James Odell Berry, age 59 of the Goodsprings Community passed away on January 3, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

James was born on March 7, 1953 in Columbia, Tennessee to the late James Arnold Berry and Mary Elizabeth Chatman Berry who survives him. He was self-employed and did many odd jobs as a handyman. His family remembers that he loved to joke and was fun to be around. One of James’ favorite hobbies was fishing. He loved to put his line in the water and then take a relaxing nap in the sun. He loved his grandchildren and nieces and nephews deeply.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Berry is survived by his siblings: Mary Evelyn Sparks, Arnold (Shelly) Berry, Margie (Harold) Schaedler, Johnny (Deeanne) Berry; his children: Maria Koch, Jimmy Shane Berry, Billie Jo Berry and Matthew Berry; several great-grandchildren; lots of nieces and nephews and several special uncles, aunts and cousins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother: William “Billy” Berry.

Graveside services will be conducted Monday, January 7, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. at Friendship cemetery in Culleoka with burial immediately following. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Williams Funeral Home at 819 N. Main Street in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
