James Albert Bolton, Sr.

February 24, 1929 — December 9, 2003

Mr. James Albert ?Jimmy? Bolton, Sr., 74, retired from Hooker/Occidental Chemical Company and a resident of Lookout Drive in Columbia, died Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Bolton will be conducted, Friday December 12, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home. Burial will be at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the son of the late Bernie Albert and Lora Baker Bolton. He was the husband of Irene Hollis Bolton. He was an avid bowler, hunter, and fisherman. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife he is survived, by three daughters; Carol Jimmy Sanders of Cumming, GA, Jannie Ricky Garrett of Nashville, TN and Dianne Robert Trevett of Fairview, TN; a son, James A. Vanessa Bolton, Jr, of Columbia, TN; five brothers; John C. Helen Bolton of Columbia, TN, Edward Bolton, David Dora Mae Bolton, Bernie Lee Ethel Bolton and Walter Bolton, Sr. all of Mt. Pleasant, TN; ten grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Tony Bolton, Wayne Bolton, James Ray Bolton, Mike Bolton, Billy Bolton, Curtis Hollis, Rusty Grooms, and David Grooms.

Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Parkway Baptist Church, Dr. Gaylon Harris, Dr. Moataz Toban, and Dr. James Heibig.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Middle Tennessee Region, 209 23rd Avenue, North Nashville, TN 37203.
