Jakie “Jake” Damron, Sr. of Williamsport, Tennessee passed away on February 2, 2019 at the age of 67.
Jake was born on October 30, 1951 to Samuel Damron and Edna Ray Damron. He was a warm and caring person, loved by all who met him. He was the most helpful family member, always trying to make a way to take care of others. He had a deep affection for his children and was the best Grandpa and Papa. He loved hunting, fishing, old western movies and anything related to sports. He was a jack of all trades and could build anything. He loved a good joke and was a wonderful storyteller-everyone would listen when he talked. If he was challenged, he would figure out some way to make it happen. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Jake is survived by life partner Shannon Box; sons, Jakie “Jake” (Jennifer) Damron, Jr., George (Kristie) Damron, and Jonathan (Amber) Damron; grandchildren Brandon(Leah), Jeryd, Jacklyn, Jessica, Ava and Michael, Leanna, Lawrence, Marissa, Aaron, Selena, Magnus, Aradia, Meridian Damron; seven great-grandchildren; siblings Margaret Jane Damron, Curt (Judy) Damron, Lola (Allen) Bryant, Les (Sheila) Damron, Wendell (Jamie) Damron; mother of his children Sandra Damron; special friends Roy Vest, Dale King, Gordon, Tom Wood, Pat and Angie Hackworth, Wayne Smith, Rich Vernier, Rick Iwanicki and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
