Robert W. "Jake" Chaffin, age 24, a resident of Applegate Lane in Dickson and former resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Friday, May 9, at Horizan Medical Center.
Funeral services for Jake will be conducted Monday May 12, at 11:00 A.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Danny Laster officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends Sunday from 3:00- 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of Becky Chaffin and the late Roy Chaffin. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. Jake was a cook for Ruby Tuesday in Dickson and was a member of the Southside Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one aunt: Carol Arnold of Mt. Pleasant; three cousins: Jeanie Thacker of Summertown; Cyndee Adrian Lewis of Columbia and Van Arnold of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents: Alvin and Evelyn Barker; paternal grandparents: Roy and Granny Jo Chaffin; one aunt: Linda Chaffin.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Holder, Patrick Colvett, Michael Bowers, Derek Peacock, Van Arnold, Kyle Malugin and William Trousdale.
Honorary pallbearers will be all co-workers at Ruby Tuesday in Dickson and special friends of Dickson.
Memorials may be made to the Youth Group of Southside Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, 1001 South Main St., Mt. Pleasant, TN 38474 or New Life Lodge of Burns, TN, P.O. Box 430, Burns, TN 37209.
