Jackie Odell ?J. J. ? McKennon, Jr., 22, a resident of the Hampshire Community, died Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at his home.
Funeral service for J.J. will be conducted , Friday January 28 , 2005 at 11 :00 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Dickey Lindsey officiating. Entombment will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of Jackie Odell and Sharon Phillips McKennon of Summertown, Tennessee. He was a self ?employed carpenter and former mechanic with McKennon Trucking Company. He was an avid hunter.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a special friend, Tanner long of the Hampshire Community; two daughters, Millie McKennon and Macy McKennon both of Summertown, TN; a son, Mason Odell McKennon of the Hampshire Community; a sister, Holly Phillip Wilson of Summertown, TN; paternal grandmother, Patricia Cothran McKennon of the Hampshire Community; maternal grandparents, Robert and Jo Ann Hicks of Summertown, TN; paternal great-grandmother, Ruby Cothran of the Hampshire Community; maternal great-grandmother, Dellar Payne of Summertown, TN; one niece, Carmen Wilson of Summertown, TN; aunts and uncles, Buddy and Sandra McKennon of Hampshire, TN, Eddie and Ruby McKennon and Cathy and Carl Lovett both of Mt. Pleasant, TN, David and Jannette McKennon of Hampshire, TN and Robert Hicks, Jr. of Summertown, TN; several cousins and many other loving family members.
He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Arthur Odell McKennon and Floyd Frances Phillips, an aunt, Theresa Smith; great-grandparents, Bud and Inez McKennon, James Cothran, and Gerald Carmen Hayes.
Pallbearers will be Cody McKennon, Alan Lovett, Kevin McKennon, Buddy McKennon, Jr., Guthrie Mason, Matt Anderson, Justin Cecil and Brandon Randolph.
Honorary pallbearers will be D. J. McKennon, Eddie McKennon, Jr., Blake Lovett, Brad King, Mike Goats, Dwayne Chatman, Larry Chatman, David Chatman, Terry Boshers, Mike Chapman, Ray Chapman, Eric Chapman, Brian Chapman, Danny Chapman, Ronnie Longsdorf, Kevin Odom and employees of Robinette Trucking Company.
