Jack Wayne Crews

Mr. Jack Wayne Crews, 66, resident of Tiger Bennett Road in the Swan Creek Community died Friday, January 21, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Crews will be conducted Monday, January 24, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Chris Gowen officiating. Burial will be in the McClain Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the son of the late George Denton and Roselee Dodson Crews. He was the husband of Patty Allen Crews. Mr.Crews was a retired maintenance supervisor for Occidental Chemical Company and TSSAA Football official for the Columbia Division for twenty seven years. He was a member of the Swan Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Jack Denton Sandra Crews of Mt. Pleasant, TN ; two daughters, Carey Rufus, III Clifford of Shelbyville, TN and Jamie David Butler of Hixson, TN; two sisters, Mildred Haley of Atlanta, GA and Kitty Bill Chaffin of Columbia, TN; three brothers, Claude Evelyn Crews of Columbia, TN, Ernest Crews of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Charles DeLois Crews of Glen Allen, VA; eight grandchildren, Emily Ricky Runions of Hohenwald, Amy Crews , Jason Crews and Josh Crews all of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Melissa Clifford and Ashley Clifford both of Shelbyville, TN, Jessica Butler and William Butler both of Hixson, TN; one great-granddaughter, Millie Runions of Hohenwald, TN; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, George Denton Crews, Jr., William Crews, and James Crews.

Pallbearers will be Teddy Arledge, Don Arledge, Ronnie Clark, Freddie Rich, Terry Dial, and Billy Ray Kennedy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wallace Kelley, Cecil Conner, Dr. Vance Hendrickson, TSSAA Football Officials Columbia Division and men of Swan Creek Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Swan Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 717 Big Swan Creek Rd. Hampshire, TN 38461.
