Mrs. Irene Burns, age 88, a resident of Woolard Road in Santa Fe, passed away on Friday, April 6, at Columbia Care and Rehab Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Burns will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Sister Inez Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Atkisson Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 4:00 ? 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late George and Annie Stanfill Brady. She was the wife of the late Malcolm Burns. She was a wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Burns was a member of the Emmanuel Church of Christ.
Survivors include four sons: Cleve Jean Burns of Goodlettsville, Howard Burns and Frank Faye Burns, both of Santa Fe and James Robert Rita Brady of Erin, TN; three sisters: Pauline Earl Nix, Frances Crabtree and Sarah Elmer Potts, all of Nashville; grandchildren: Troy Amy Burns of Franklin, Becky Chris Gibson, and Michael Burns, both of Santa Fe; great-grandchildren: Graham Gibson, Luke Gibson, Anna Claire Gibson, Destiney Burns, Faith Ann Burns, all of Santa Fe, and Ava Grace Burns of Franklin. She was preceded in death by five brothers: Elton, George, Buck, Junior and Jack Brady and three sisters: Ethel Burns, Katie Humphrey and Rachel Brady.
Pallbearers will be Troy Burns, Michael Burns, Robby Brady, Ray Potts, Kenny Brady, George Burns, Bob Bizzell and Ricky Burns. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Emmanuel Church of Christ.
