Mrs. Ira Ruth Wright Crowell, 60, a resident of Chestnut Drive, died Thursday June 20, 2002 at Maury Regional Hopsital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Crowell will be conducted Sunday, June 23, 2002 at 3:30 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Reverend Dave Baker officiating. Entombment will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends Friday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Bedford County native was the daughter of the late Johnny Rye Wright and Dorothy Hinson Wright Holden. She was retired as maintenance administrator for South Central Bell. She also was affiliated with the Tennessee Farm Bureau as supervisor of records. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She is survived by a son, Robert Kevin Crowell of Columbia, TN; 3 brothers, Tommy Wright of Lewisburg, TN, Billy Brenda Wright of Shelbyville, TN, and Clifford Wright of Brownsville, TX; 3 nephews and 1 Niece; several great nieces and great nephews; Devoted Companion, Randy King of Mt. Pleasant, TN.
Pallbearers will be William "Bubba" Wright, Jr., Jeff Wright, Shane Wright, Dan King, David King, and Joey Meadows. Honorary pallbearers will be past and present employees of South Central Bell and employees of the Tennessee Farm Bureau.
