Mrs. Ilona Nagyivan Buka, 101, a resident of 932 Carters Creek Pike, died Wednesday, October 08, 2003 at Franklin Manor Nursing Center. Graveside services for Mrs. Buka will be conducted Friday, October 10, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Father Patrick Connor officiating. Williams Columbia Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangement. The Hungarian native was the daughter of the late Steve and Emerence Korom Nagyivan. She was the widow of Steve Buka, Jr. who passed away in 1955. She was a long-time resident of Detroit, Michigan. She retired as a cook at the Hungarian Kitchen in Detroit, Michigan at the age of 82. She was active on family farm in Novi Itebej, Hungary. She was member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Csullog of Hungary; two grandsons, Imre Ann Csullog and Sandor Csullog both of Hungary; a granddaughter, Hayni Kevin Blue of Columbia, TN; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Steve Buka, III and a grandson, Tibor Csullog. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Blue, Jeremy Blue, Steve Yankowski and Jeff Lindman.
