Ida Frances Bell Himes

Mrs. Ida Frances Bell Himes, 86, of Florida Avenue in Mt. Pleasant went to be with her Lord and Savior May 25, 2010 after losing her battle with lung Cancer.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be conducted Thursday , May 27, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Ezell Rose and Brother Owen Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.

Visitation with friends will be Wednesday from 5:00-9:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.

Born February 20, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Buford and Annie Edna Kimmons Bell, She was a Lawrence County native but has been a resident of maury County for more than 50 years.

As a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, she enjoyed serving the Lord as a Sunday School teacher and youth leader. She also loved her family and friends.
She retired from Mt. Pleasant Manufacturing Company after 11 years of service as a bundle person. She was an expert seamstress, she would cut patterns out of newspapers and make her children clothes.

Survivors include three daughters: Deena Pete Trousdale, Jr., Donna Nolan Ken Brown, Rita Sims Tom Hughes all of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: John Alissa Nolan, Karin Steven Shewbart, William Daphne Trousdale, III and Kevin Sims; great-granchildren: Haley and Ella Nolan, Samuel, Seth and Spencer Shewbart, Deanna and Will Trousdale and Devin Jones. She is also survived by two sisters: Betty Nance of Mt. Pleasant and Robbie Doug Rutledge of Indiana; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Bell and a sister, Bethel Chennault, a nephew: Rex Rutledge and a niece, Vicky Holcomb.

Pallbearers are Pete Trousdale, William Trousdale, Ken Brown, John Nolan, Tom Hughes, Steven Shewbart, Kevin Sims and TaylorHamilton.
