Ida Bell Forrest Lindsey

Mrs. Ida Bell Forrest Lindsey, age 70, a resident of Sunset Avenue in Columbia, TN, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lindsey will be held at the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ on Friday, April 16, at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Henry Mobley and Bro. Vince Dominguez officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00 to 9:00 PM and Friday 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Church.

Williams Funeral home of Columbia is in charge of arrangements.

Born August 22, 1939 in Minden Minds, MO, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Goldie Wyant Forrest and the wife of the late Charles Ray Lindsey. She and her husband were the owner and operators of Lindsey Sharpening Service. Mrs. Lindsey married and moved from KY. to Chicago, where she raised her family for 21 years. They moved to Columbia in 1978 and started their sharpening service in the 1980 s. She attended the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ.

Survivors include her children: Tony Ray Lindsey, Bonnie Gail Lindsey and Anna Bobby Lynn Chick, all of Columbia; brother: Harley Forrest of Colorado Springs, CO; special pet: Sissy; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters: Martha Childers and Daisy Jones; brothers: Edward, Charles, Wilford and Frank Forrest.

Pallbearers will be Milton Johnson, David Parker Sr., David Parker Jr., Dan Vuncannon, Bobby Tennyson and Adam Johnson.

The family would like to specially thank the nursing staff of Home Health Care of Middle TN and the girls at Fresenius Dialysis Center.
