Mrs. Icy Idella Spears London, 91, a resident of East 17th Street in Columbia died Saturday, June 25, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. London will be conducted Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Richard Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Lawrence County native was the daughter of the late Elisha and Anna Bell Corter Spears. She was the widow of Miles William London who died in 2003. Mrs. London was a retired spinner for the Cotton Mill in Shannon, Georgia and former employee of Beamus Bag Cotton Mill in Nashville. She was an avid gardner, enjoyed working puzzles and was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by a brother-in-law, Joe Geneva London of Columbia, TN; two sisters, Ruby Easton and Evelyn Jimmy Chapman both of Columbia, TN; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Nancy Myatt, Rena Steeley, Lula Vaughn Madden, Edna Floyd; five brothers, Cornelius Spears, Walter Richard Spears, Joe Spears, Edward Spears and John Spears.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Honorary pallbearer will be Henry Teeples.
