H.T. Norman

Mr. H. T. ?Jack? Norman, 95, a resident of Red Row in Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Norman will be conducted Friday, January 6, 2006 at 1:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend William Owens officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born in Giles County, he was the son of the late Lucious and Margaret Renfro Norman and the widower of Ruby Chapman Norman. Mr. Norman was a retired truck driver for the Maury County Highway Department and a farmer. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grand father and great-great grandfather. He was an avid hunter, loved baseball and softball games and a member of the Porter?s Chapel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Margaret Dugger of Mt. Pleasant, TN; two sons, Stanley Janet Norman of Mt. Pleasant and Jerry W. Norman, Sr. of Nashville; eight grandchildren, Jerry W. Norman, Jr., Brenda Joyce Ricky Smallwood and Ronnie Norman, all of Nashville, Donnie Tammy Norman of Smyrna, Kenneth Norman of Mt. Pleasant, Michelle Petey Runions of Summertown, Cindy Tomlin of Franklin and Christie Ann Dugger of Mt. Pleasant; 18 great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; daughter-in-law, Frances Norman. He was preceded in death by a son, Howard Norman; two grandchildren, Patricia Fox and Connie Gay Dugger; great granddaughter, Miranda M. Brown; six sisters and six brothers; daughter-in-law, Lois Norman.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.
