Mr. Hoyt Young Tucker, age 76, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, TN passed away October 7, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Hoyt was born in Indian Mound, the sixth child of the late Ernest Ray and Susie Tucker. He attended school at Legate. He really enjoyed life on the farm and working with his brothers. He often took bike rides down hill without brakes. Hoyt was a proud member as well as Vice President of Mid-South Live Steamers, where he worked in designing, driving and repairing steam and diesel trains at Maury County Park. Hoyt worked at Maury Regional Medical Center for 20 years in the maintenance department as a carpenter and a locksmith.
Mr. Tucker is survived by his special friend: Dorothy Tucker; Five nieces: Betty Ford, Brenda Jerles, Sara Bryant, Linda Bryant, Anita Whittildgton; Six nephews: Steve Tucker, Tansel Tucker Jr., David Ford, Timmy Taughber and Don & Randy Wynn; One Sister-in Law, Frances Tucker. He was preceded in death by: Gerline (Howard) Suiter, Carrie (John) Ford, Betty (Clyde) Wynn, Cecil Tucker, Tansel (Ann) Tucker, and Jean (David) Traughber.
The family will receive friends Wednesday October 10, 2012 at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant from 4-8 PM. Services for Mr. Tucker will be held Thursday October 11, 2012 at The Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant at 2 pm. The burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. Bro. Rex Reed will be officiating the service.
