Howard G. Allen

Mr. Howard G. Allen, 87, a resident of Timberwood Drive in Columbia, died Saturday, February 28, 2004 at Life Care Center.
Funeral services for Mr. Allen will be conducted Monday evening, March 1, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Mike Dawson officiating. Burial will be in the Lawrence County Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Lauderdale County, Alabama native was the son of the late Turner Nelson and Ella Belew Allen and husband of the late Lorene Sandlin Allen. He was a tire maker for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, Donald R. Janet Allen of Columbia, TN; a sister, Birdie Killen of Greenhill, AL; a son-in-law, Willard White of Orange, CA; two granddaughters, Kimberly Allen Lovell of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Robin Allen Tipton of Bristol, TN.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Allen, Duane Allen, Ronald Allen, Roy Thompson, Wilson Daniel, and Chuck Premo.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 2790 Pulaski Highway, Columbia, Tennessee 38401.
