Homer Eugene Gibson, age 79, resident of Pulaski, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at his residence.
Homer was born April 9, 1938, in Franklin Co., Alabama, the son of the late Samuel Gibson and Dura Bernice Owens Gibson. He was the husband of Wanda Dodge Gibson of Pulaski. Homer was a farmer and was a member of the Shores Baptist Church in Pulaski. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his children, Pamela (Sidney) Buchanan of Alabama, Beth (Michael) Reek of Franklin, TN, John Ratliff of
Pulaski, Wendy (David) Usilton of Columbia and Timothy (Michelle) Ratliff of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Jenny, Jonathan and Skyler Ratliff; Elise, Cordel Littrell and Wyatt Usilton; Bailey and Rylee Shaffer and Boone Ratliff; niece, Annissa Rivers Benson and nephew, Randall Rivers; sister, LaFonda Gibson (Bill) Ward of WV and brother-in-law, Jimmy Rivers, along with his mother-in-law, Dean Kincaid along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Homer was preceded in death by his mother and father, one sister, Sammi Bernice Rivers and step-daughter, Mitzi Ratliff Littrell.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 5, at 2:00pm at Shores Baptist Church in Pulaski with Marty Dodge officiating. The family invites friends for a visitation prior to the service from 11:00 am until 2:00pm at the church also.
