Hershel Lee Bolton

Hershel Lee Bolton, age 85 a resident of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday September 3rd at Signature Health Care in Columbia.
Hershel was born December 24, 1926 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Paul and Lure Bolton. Hershel worked for Smelter Service in Mt. Pleasant for many years before retiring. He was a hard worker, working hard at everything including his other love….fishing. Hershel was loved by many and especially a favorite among his caregivers.
Mr. Bolton is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Icy Bolton of Mt. Pleasant; Three Daughters: Barbara Cummins, Cathy Allen Armstrong, and Linda Sidney Howell; Three granddaughters: Kim Wray, Ashley Cummins and Berrye Howell; Five grandsons: Tim Armstrong, Terry Armstrong and Lee Howell, and Brent Casey Cummins all of Mt. Pleasant, TN. Hershel is also survived by his 16 great grand children.
Pallbearers will be Brent Cummins, Dylan Vaughn, David Vaughn, Wayne Bolton, Mike Bolton and Tony Bolton. Honorary Pallbearers are the employees and staff of Smelter Service and Sterling House.
Services for Hershel will be Wednesday September 5, 2012 at 10 am at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, TN. Rev. Williams Owens will be officiating. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Herbert Griffin Post 19. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday September 4, 2012 from 4-8 pm at The Williams Funeral Home in Columbia at 109 Blythewood Drive.
