Herbert Conner

Mr. Herbert Conner, age 78, a resident of Red Bud Lane in Columbia, passed away Sunday, November 4 at his residence.
Funeral services for Mr. Conner will be conducted Tuesday, November, 6 at 2:00 P.M. at the First United Pentecostal Church of Columbia with Brother Telford Tharp, Jason Keyser, Larry Reed and Kyle Conner officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends Monday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia and Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until service time at the church.
The Lewis County native was the Son of the late Charlie Henry Conner and Rosa Anne Uptain Conner. He was the husband of Helen Reed Conner. Mr. Conner was a retired lathe operator for the Union Carbide Company and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Columbia.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Linda Danny Jacobs of Culleoka, Richard Phyllis Conner, Barry Candi Conner, Kenny Kim Conner and Gina Todd Holt all of Columbia; grandchildren: Joey Beckum of Columbia, Machelle Paulk of Demopolis, AL, Rodney Beckum and Chad Beckum both of Columbia, Michael Conner of Los Angeles, CA, Jonathan Conner, Levi Conner, Trent Conner and Kaytie Conner all of Columbia, Joey Claiborne of San Antonio, TX, Matthew Claiborne of Columbia, Kenny Conner, Dathon Conner, Conner Holt and Summer Holt all of Columbia.
He was preceded in death by an infant grandson; Randall Reid Conner.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will the employees of Union Carbide.
