Henry J. Beale

Henry J. Beale, age 83 of Columbia, passed away August 23, 2013 at his home.

Henry was born August 13, 1930 to the late Frank Beale and Louella Hinton in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was the loving husband of Susan Green Beale for 25 years. Henry served honorably in the US Army and was also a Korean War Veteran. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion and St. Catherines Catholic Church. Mr. Beale retired from Goodyear where he worked as a truckdriver, and also worked at the Senior Citizens Center.

A celebration of his life will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with military honors provided by American Legion Herbert Griffin Post 19. An inurnment will be conducted at a later date in Polk Memorial Gardens.

In addition to his wife, Susan, he is remembered as a great father and grandfather to his children: Henry (Kizzi) Beale II, Grace (Bryce) Scott, Thomas (Florame) D. Parks Jr., Sheldon (Dosher) Parks, Eric (Denise) Parks, Reginald (Arita) Parks and Ramon (Sonora) Parks; his siblings: Claudine, Aslean, Jessie, Ammie Jean, Della, Eunice and Willie S.; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, neices and nephews.
