Helen Martin Hume Wade, age 88, a native of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 at NHC Columbia.
Helen was born on November 18, 1925 to the late C.M. Hume and Mildred Scott Hume in Columbia, Tennessee. Helen was a RN at St. Thomas Hospital and later worked at the Maury County Health Department. The staff at NHC described her as a “hoot.”

Helen is survived by her daughter Kathi (Tommy) Yasko of Knoxville, Tennessee; son David Wade of Columbia, Tennessee; granddaughters Katie Wade and Abbey Wade; grandsons Matt Rieger and Philip Rieger; sisters Betty (Charles) Rash and Emma Lou Hume; and brother Arthur (Barbra) Hume.
