Mrs. Helen Louise Ballard Lindsey, 80, a resident of Thomas Avenue in Columbia, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at NHC/Columbia.
Graveside services for Mrs. Lindsey will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Polk Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Philip Lawson officiating. The family visited with friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
The Covington native was the daughter of the late Edward and Ollie Overton Smith Ballard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Stanley Lindsey, in 1995. Mrs. Lindsey was a wonderful wife, mother, housewife and grandmother. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Hann and Barbara Jimmy McNeese, both of Columbia; a son, John W. Ann Lindsey of Andrews, Texas; grandchildren, Keith Rochelle of Nolensvile, Johnny Jay Lindsey of Andrews, Texas, Kim White and Teresa Hann, both of Columbia, Sonya Lindsey of Andrew, Texas, Travis Hann of Columbia and Justin Lindsey of Andrew, Texas; great-grandchildren, Brian Hann and Tiffani White, both of Columbia, Austin Lindsey of Oklahoma and Joshua Hann of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. William Robinson, men and ladies of the adult Sunday School Class of the Church of God of Prophecy and friends of Thomas Avenue.
