Mrs. Helen King Nelson, age 83, a lifelong resident of Columbia, passed away on Monday, January 4, at Life Care Center of Columbia.
Funeral services for Mrs. Nelson will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points officiating. Entombment will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was born May 18, 1926, the daughter of the late William Barkley King and Gerline Luckett King Hitch. She was the office manager of Electrolux for many years and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters: Debbie Pat Greene of Columbia and Bonnie Tim Halstead of Centreville, VA; one grandson: Kenneth Barkley Halstead of Centreville, VA.
