Helen Geneva Mae Hill, age 70, passed away November 4, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.
Helen was born May 2, 1944 in Columbia, TN to the late Allen Hay and late Ethel “Humphrey” Hay. After graduating high school and marrying at the age of 20, Helen worked at GE as an Inspector and Repair until finally retiring. She then worked as Scheduler at Maury Regional Medical Center until her second retirement. Helen was a member of the Loyal Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. You could often find Helen doing her favorite things either just being outside or gardening. She is loved and will be dearly missed.
Helen is survived by her: daughter: Terri (Jeff) Perry; son: Steve (Dayona) Hill; grand daughters: Brittany Sharp, Kate Perry, and Lauren Perry; grand son: Dakota Hill; four sisters; and best friends: Turbo, Mackie, Lucy, Miss Kitty, and Pretty Boy.
She is preceded in death by: her parents Allen and Ethel Hay; husband: Walter B. Hill; and daughter: Penny Sharp Brannon.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Columbia, TN. Services will be held Friday, November 7th at 2:00 p.m. also at The Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Columbia. Helen’s son Steve Hill and Bro. Steve Swango will be officiating. Burial will follow the service at Santa Fe Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Keith Curtis, Jeff Perry, Corey Hay, Virgil Johnson, Dakota Hill, and Jordan Chard.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made out to Maury Regional Medical Center Auxiliary and Loyal Chapel Freewill Baptist.
