Helen Fragel Savage

Mrs. Helen Fragel Savage, 85, widow of Charles W. Savage, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at her residence on Lookout Drive in Columbia.

Funeral services for Mrs. Savage will be conducted Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Charles Blythe officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Swan Lake Memorial Park in Peoria, Illinois.

The Peoria, Illinois native was the daughter of the late Henry A. and Victoria Comegys Fragel. She was a homemaker and former secretary of the Central First Assembly of God in Peoria. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Columbia in which she was a greeter and was involved in the hospitality ministry.

She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Alan Sweat of Columbia, TN; a son, Charles W. Loretta Savage, Jr. of Woodruff, WI; five grandchildren, Kimmy Dan Meneu of Anaheim, CA, Tracie Savage of Seattle, WA, Kevin Savage of Anaheim, CA, Matthew Dawn Sweat of Antioch, TN, and Mark Sweat of Columbia, TN; three great grandchildren, Amber Meneu and Ryan Meneu both of Anaheim, CA, and Luke Sweat of Antioch, TN; two sisters, Mary Ann Moran and Kathryn Dunningan both of Peoria, IL; a sister-in-law, Louise Fragel of Peoria, IL. She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Fragel.
