Helen Morgan Cairns (Vicky) passed into the loving arms of our savior September 15th of natural causes. She was born October 13th 1933 to Andrew and Bea (Lucas) Morgan in Birmingham UK. She married Tom Cairns May 11, 1957 and moved to Rice MN.
Throughout her life she attended Grace Episcopal Church in Royalton MN, and St Dunstan's Anglican Church in St Louis Park, MN and several others. Most recently she attended St Catherine of Siena, Catholic Church in Columbia TN, where she found a loving church community.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her brother David Morgan and her husband Tom. Survivors include son Morgan and his wife Kay Farmer Cairns, daughter Meridith Cairns-Mellen, grandchildren Katherine Cairns and Christopher Mellen, great grand children and a great great granddaughter. As well as extended family in MN, TN and London England.
She loved life and had a flair for story telling, hence the nickname Vicky. As a teenager she played the role of Queen Victoria in a play and the name stuck. Her jobs over the years included, a nurses aide and assistant librarian at Rice Elementary School, clerical work at Mantred Inc, she also worked at a chicken pie shop in California. Animals were a joy to her, watching and feeding birds especially.
She will be missed terribly by her family and close friends. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, October 13th, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. Williams funeral home in the small chapel.
