Mrs. Helen Aspell Bellis, 85, a resident of Courtland Drive in Columbia and formerly of Rochester, NY, died Sunday, June 19, 2005 at Rosewood Manor.
Memorial services for Mrs. Bellis will be conducted Saturday, June 25, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Rochester, NY with Rev. Donald Hill officiating. Inurnment will be in the Memorial Garden at the Trinity Episcopal Church. Williams Funeral Home of Columbia is in charge of local arrangements.
Born in Canandaigua, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Aspell and widow of Clarence Bellis. She was retired as executive secretary for Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY and a member of St. Peter?s Episcopal Church. She was formally actively involved with the American Red Cross, parent-teacher organizations and the alter guild at Trinity Episcopal Church.
She is survived by two sons, Jim Laurie Bellis of Columbia and Jack Lee Bellis of Gilbert, AZ; four grandchildren, Joel Bellis and Kaci Bellis, both of Columbia, C.J. Randall of Davie, FL and Camellia Bellis of Gilbert, AZ; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, William Aspell, David Aspell and Burton Aspell; two sisters, Catherine Spencer and Mary Sumner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the landscaping fund at St. Peter?s Episcopal Church, 311 W. 7th Street, Columbia, TN 38401 or to Trinity Episcopal Church, 3450 Ridge Road West, Rochester, NY 14626
