Harry “Glenn” Hampton, age 75, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022, in Columbia, Tennessee.
Glenn was born December 16, 1946, to the late Harry Hampton and Viola Belle Woodard Hampton in Lawrence Co., Tennessee.
Glenn was a very kind man. He had a very outgoing and fun personality; never shy to strike up a conversation with a stranger, and by the end of it he always had a new friend. He loved to take advantage of any opportunity to make someone laugh, a natural prankster at heart.
One of the many things that brought Glenn joy was coin collecting. He was very passionate when it can to search for unique and original treasures that hold so much history. This passion inspired him to start Lawrence Co. Coin Club for all the fellow coin collectors in his community to share their finds and treasures.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary “Frances” Hampton; son: Harry Glenn Hampton, Jr.; daughter: Angela Jeanine Hampton; and grandchildren: Jared Christopher Speller and Maxwell Thomas Hampton.
