Harold Turner Southall

March 19, 1922 — September 20, 2005

Mr. Harold Turner Southall, 83, a resident of the Booker Farm Road in the Cross Bridges Community, died Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at NHC/Hillview.

Funeral services for Mr. Southall will be conducted Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Michael Gilstrap officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the son of the late Sheddan and Mary Smith Southall and husband of Dorothy Johnson ?Dot? Southall. Mr. Southall was a long-time farmer of the Cross Bridges Community, a retired mechanic for Baker Equipment Company and former employee of Rummage Equipment Company. He was a member of the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation, Maury Farmers Co-op, and Southpoint Church of Christ.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, James Southall of Cross Bridges Community; one sister, Katherine Warren Raymer of Lyles, TN; grandchildren, Melissa Freemont of Hendersonville, TN and Randy Kelly Southall of Ethridge, TN; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including Jane McPeak of the Cross Bridges Community

He was preceded in death by four brothers, William Southall, Walker Southall, Joe Southall and Carl Southall.

Pallbearers will be Bates Southall, Clinton Buckner, Jimmy Baker, Clarence Southall, Ollie Sparkman, Charles McPeak, Dwight Brown and Robert Schmidt.

Honorary pallbearers will men of the Hampshire United Methodist Church; George Farris, Henry Booker, Jr., all friends of Booker Farm Road, Jack Cecil, Allen Savage, A.B. Church, Jr., Billy Buckner, Jimmy Morrow, Nathan Love, Ray Holden, past and present employees of Baker Equipment Company, staff of NHC/ Hillview Healthcare.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 4004 Hillsboro Pike, Suite 219B, Nashville, TN 37215 or Hampshire United Methodist Church.
