Harold S. Lentz

Mr. Harold S. Lentz, 78, died Sunday, April 13, 2003 at at his residence on Thomas Avenue in Columbia.
Funeral services for Mr. Lentz will be conducted Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Curtis Dowdy and Johnny Mac Young officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Ernest Scott and Effie Sue Martin Lentz and husband of Ann Hill Lentz. He was retired after 37 years with Union Carbide as a switchboard operator and was a member of the Highland Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Patty Billy Pope of Columbia and Debbie Tommy Davis of Williamsport; a son, Mike Lentz of Columbia; two brothers of Columbia; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Rachel Lentz and two brothers, Gordon and Fred Lentz.
Active pallbearers will be Larry Russell, L.G. White, Gary Redding, Ricky Hancock, Bobby Thurman and Roy Cothran. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Union Carbide and elders and deacons of Highland Church of Christ.
A special thanks to Willowbrook Homecare of Lewsisburg and the Willowbrook Hospice of Franklin.
