Mr. Harold Putnam, 71, a resident of Scribner Mill Road in the Culleoka Community, died Monday, October 31, 2005 at his home.
Funeral services for Mr. Putnam will be conducted Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at 2:30 pm in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Denzil Huff officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
Born in Giles County, he was the son of the late Floyd and Cassie Reeves Putnam and husband of Sarah Evelyn Lockhart Putnam. He was the owner and operator of Kountry Cabinet Shop for 25 years and member of Grace Nazarene Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, David Putnam of Columbia and ex-wife, Vickie Putnam of Culleoka; two daughters, Shelia David Woody and Sherry Mickie Bowen, both of Culleoka; six grandchildren, Shyenne Putnam and Colt Putnam, both of Columbia, Sarah Woody and Carson Woody, both of Culleoka, Shane Allison Bowen of Lewisburg and Chasity Bowen of Culleoka; four great-grandchildren, Julie Black and Jenie Black, both of Columbia, Colton Stiles and Jada Bowen, both of Lewisburg. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Mahlon, Paul and Bobby Putnam; two sisters, Mrs. James Dimple Glasco and Mrs. Gerald Johnnie Derryberry.
Pallbearers will be Steve Black, David Lovell, L.D. Cornelius, Shane Bowen, Colt Putnam and Carson Woody. Honorary pallbearers will be Mickie Bowen, David Woody, Walter Mears, Gary King, Mikey Davidson and James Glenn Dugger.
