Harold Lauren Warner

Harold Lauren Warner was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 8, 1939. He died on April 30, 2008.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, May 2, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Neva Ann Millis Warner and Harold Larrimore Warner.

For the first ten years of Harold's life, the family lived in South Vienna, Ohio, where his father was the mayor; His only sibling was his sister, Sharon Ann Warner Treen, who now lives in Appomattox, VA.

On August 22, 1964, Harold married Sharon Louise Morrison Warner. Together, they had three children: David Warner of Bainbridge Island, Washington, Steven Lisa Allen Warner of Smyrna, TN and Tiffany Ann Warner of Nashville, TN.

Harold and Sharon have two grandchildren, Michael and Matthew.

Harold graduated from Mohawk Valley Community College and then went on to graduate from Utica College of Syracuse University with a double major in business and economics.

Mr. Warner was an insurance adjuster, retiring in October, 2003.

He designed a cottage in Robbinston, Maine that he and his wife, Sharon, enjoyed a great deal.

He enjoyed his family, relatives, neighbors and the people he worked with. Harold made many friends throughout his life.

Harold Lauren Warner was a descendent of Presidents Abraham Lincoln and Grover Cleveland.

Mr. Warner will be interred at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia, TN. Mr. and Mrs. Warner chose Polk Memorial Gardens for their final resting place due to it's proximity to St. John's Episcopal Church, where the Polk family were parishioners. Their love of history and genealogy led them to this decision, along with the beauty and serenity of the Polk cemetery. They came to love the area through their many visits to the Columbia area.

Harold and his family ask that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to St. John's Episcopal Church to perpetuate the ongoing restoration and maintenance of this historical structure: St. John's Episcopal Church, 1116 W. 7th St., PMB 75, Columbia, TN 38401.

Harold Lauren Warner will be missed by all who knew him.
