Harold Dean Massey, age 46, a resident of the Joy Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Thursday, September 25, in Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Massey will be conducted Saturday at 3:30 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Phillip Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury Co. native was the son Sammie Sesler Massey of Mt. Pleasant and the late Bobby Massey. He was the husband of Mary Patterson Massey of Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Massey was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant.
Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include one brother: Darryl Allen Kathleen Massey of Mt. Pleasant; a grandson: Hunter Glenn Massey of Mt. Pleasant; niece and nephews: Rhonda Michelle Lee Braly of Fayetteville, Andrew Brittany Massey of Mt. Pleasant, Michael Ray Braly, Jr., of Nashville and Ralph Patterson of AL; one great niece: Mckayla Lee Locke of Fayetteville.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Massey, Stanley Massey, Jeffrey Tiller, Rick Jones, Larry Jones, Michael Braly, Jr., Ralph Patterson, Harvey Patterson and Butch Patteson. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Jacobs, Walter Marlin, Wendell Warf, Henry Massey, Michael Braly, Sr., Albry Garrett, Dr. Sue Ellen Lee, nurses and staff of the Maury Regional Hospital Emergency Room and Intensive Care unit and the Maury County Ambulance Service attendants.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Perimeter Center #3, 3343 Perimeter Hill Drive, Nashville, TN 37211.
