Harold Wayne Coffman, age 72, a resident of Lynnville, TN went to be with his Lord on November 28, 2014.
Harold, or Wayne as he was known to family and friends, was born on September 11, 1942, to the late Harold & Cora Coffman. Wayne graduated from Muskogee Central High School in OK. He then attended Muskogee Jr. College before moving on to the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa. Wayne was a skilled electrician working in industrial buildings around the country. He helped construct the Oral Roberts University Tower in Tulsa, The Mall at Green Hills in Nashville, and on a more local level, his own church, New Song Baptist Church. Wayne enjoyed his cattle and peacocks on his farm in Giles county, as well as playing with his grandchildren. He loved so many things, but his true joy came with his deep love of his family and his love of the Lord.
The family will visit with friends on Saturday, December 6, 2014, beginning at 10 a.m. at New Song Baptist Church in Columbia. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m.
Wayne is survived by his wife of many years, Delores “Dee” Coffman of Lynnville, TN; Two daughters: Regina (Robert) Jandreau of Mt. Pleasant, and Cindy (Aaron) Ramsey of Oklahoma; Two sons: Kevin (Tunisia) Chaney of Summertown, TN and Clay Coffman of Oklahoma; Three granddaughters: Ashten (Steven) Andrews of Columbia, Cheyenne Chaney of Summertown, TN; and Chelsea Coffman; Five grandsons: Justin (Lacey) Jandreau , Mason (Paige) Jandreau, both of Columbia, TN, Dakota Chaney of Summertown, Brandon Davis and Hunter Coffman; Two great-great grandsons: Hunter Andrews and Jake Jandreau; One sister: Maxine Reece of Oklahoma. Wayne was preceded in death by his son, Chris Chaney.
