Mrs. Gwendolyn Mai Brock Hill, 57, wife of Larry Hill and a resident of Dalton Avenue in Columbia, died Wednesday August 7, 2002 at St. Thomas Hospital.
Graveside services for Mrs. Hill will be conducted Saturday August 10, 2002 at
4:30 P.M. at the Cross Bridges Cemetery with Rev. Argine Hughes officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home.
The Limestone County, Alabama native was the daughter of the late A.C. and
Elizabeth Roberts Brock. She was a former cook for Mrs. Winners Chicken in Columbia and also worked in the Maintenance Department at Columbia State Community College. She was a member of the Cross Bridges Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by one daughter; Angela Wayne Street of Columbia, two grandsons; Preston Hill and Wayne Lee Street both of Columbia, one grandaughter Amy Hill of Columbia, three sisters; Ann Frank Westmoreland of Spartansburg, S. C., Carol Andy Atkisson of Lascassas, TN, and Wanda Mike Potter of Lewisburg, TN; four brothers; L.G. Joyce Brock of AZ, Don Marie Brock of Troy, IL, Danny Joe Brock and Charlie Brock both of Lewisburg, TN. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Brock, Doug Brock, and Jimmy Brock.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nurses and Staff of 1St West at Maury Regional Hospital, Nurses and Staff of CCU and Special Care at St. Thomas Hospital, and Chaplains of St. Thomas Hospital.
