Gregory Baker Claiborne, 64, born in Nashville, TN, on September 28, 1958, passed away October 10, 2022, in Stayton, Oregon. He was the son of the late Leslie E. Claiborne and Druella Baker Claiborne. Greg was a 1976 graduate of Central High School, Columbia, TN.

Services will be held at the Williams Funeral Home, Columbia, TN, on Saturday, November 5, with burial at Polk Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM with the service at 3:00 PM. Family members will officiate.

Greg was a retired truck driver and a lifelong resident of Columbia. He enjoyed traveling, playing guitar, and spending time with his daughter, whom he adored.

He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Claiborne, Salem, Oregon; Mother, Druellea Claiborne, Columbia; Brother, Douglas Claiborne, Murfreesboro; Sisters, Peggy (Tommy) McEwen and Dawn (Bill) Yelverton, both of Columbia. Niece, Kami (Billy) Thurman of Columbia and Nephew, Neil (Elizabeth) Webb of Brentwood. Also survived by one great-niece and four great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Leslie Claiborne, Brother, Steven Claiborne. Grandparents, Harvey and Zora (Snyder) Claiborne and James and Lola (McGiboney) Baker.

This organization uses performance arts to raise awareness and funding for lung cancer research. Conducting research leads to new methods of early detection and identification of lung cancer.
