Grace Patricia "Pat" "Nanny" Mckennon

Grace Patricia "Pat" "Nanny" Cothran McKennon, age 72, resident of Cecil Farm Rd in the Hampshire Community , passed away on Sunday, January 31, at her residence.
Funeral services for Pat will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend William Owens officiating. Entombment will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
The family will visit with friends on Monday from 4:00 ? 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Born on August 8, 1937 in Maury County, Pat was the daughter of the late James and Ruby Roberts Cothran and the wife of Arthur Odell McKennon, who passed away in 2004, they were married for 56 precious years. She was retired School Bus Driver for Maury County Board of Education, worked at McDonalds and the Senior Citizen Center in Mt. Pleasant. Pat loved working in her flowers, loved surrounding herself with her grandchildren and loved going to horse shows with her children. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children: Jackie Sharon McKennon of Summertown, Buddy Sandra McKennon of Hampshire Community, Eddie Ruby McKennon and Cathy Carl Lovett of Mt. Pleasant, David Jannette McKennon of Hampshire Community; two sisters: Jimmie George Chapman of Hampshire and Dorothy Longsdorf of Michigan; grandchildren: Holly Phillip Wilson, Christie Mike Goats, Buddy Kathy McKennon, Wendy Kenny Hicks, Patty Brad King, Kevin Wendy McKennon, Chad Tiffanee Pugh, Angel McKennon, Eddie "Bubba" Mc Kennon, Alan Mel Lovett, Blake Brooke Lovett, D.J. McKennon, Cody Shelby McKennon, Lauren McKennon and Lucy McKennon; great-grandchildren: Millie, Macy and Mason McKennon, Reese Wilson, Ashley Wilson, Miranda and Will Goats, McKenzie McKennon, Austin, Skylar and Hunter Hicks, Brooke Gentry, Peyton King, Kadence McKennon, Haylee Coleman, Katie Pugh, Jaida and Spencer Lovett, Ansley Kate Lovett, Bryce and Paisley McKennon; special sister-in-law: Ina Ruth Boshers of Mt. Pleasant and special friends: Sara Lucy Dale of Mt Pleasant and Ann Black of Columbia.
Pat was preceded in death by a precious daughter: Theresa Smith; precious grandson: J.J. McKennon; precious granddaughter: Magan McKennon; two wonderful son-in-laws: Joe Nichols and Rob Smith.
Pallbearers will be Pat's grandsons, Bubba McKennon, Alan Lovett, Blake Lovett, Kevin McKennon, Chad Pugh, Buddy McKennon, Jr, D.J. McKennon and Cody McKennon. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church, Ray Chapman, Mike Chapman, Kenny Chapman, Tom Chapman, Danny Chapman, Ronnie Longsdorf, Cindy Longsdorf, Sara Lucy Dale, Heather Hardiman, Carol and Nelson Roberts, Matt Caperton, Arthur's family, Phillip Wilson, Brad King, Kenny Hicks, Mike Goats and Nelson Roberts.
