Mrs. Grace Goodman Prokopeck, 81, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, October 30, in Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Prokopeck will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Hueston Marshall, Edd Brown and Vernon Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 4:00 ? 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
A native of Lewis County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Maude Brown Goodman. She was the wife of the late Michael Prokopeck. She, along with her sister, Frances Barker, operated the Stitch and Save in Mt. Pleasant for 16 years. She was a graduate of Haylong High School and a member of the Beech Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors include one sister: Frances Barker of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers: Jimmie Edna Goodman of Columbia and Clem Norma Goodman of Mt. Pleasant; a special niece and caretaker: Mary ?Chipper? Case of Mt. Juliet. She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Joe, Glen and Robert Goodman.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the Beech Hill Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beech Hill Church of Christ.
