Glen Ray Parsons Sr.

Glen Ray Parsons Sr., age 80, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee passed away on Monday, March 23, 2015 at his home.

Glen was born on November 8, 1934 in Twila, Kentucky, the son of Rudolph and Henrietta Slusher Parsons. Glen served in the United States Air Force (Korea) before going to Kalamazoo, Michigan where he worked as a machinist for Eaton Corporation for twenty-three years. He then operated his own pest control company for fifteen years, retiring to Lawrenceburg in 2004.

Glen is survived by his wife Nancy C. Packard Parsons of forty-eight years; two sons Glen Ray Parsons II (Tracy) of Lawrenceburg and Ronald Lee Ritchie (Nolene) of Schoolcraft, Michigan; two daughters Pamela J. Ritchie Becklehimer (Dave) of West Point, Indiana and Deborah J. Ritchie Fitzgerald of Richmond, Michigan; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a special nephew, John L. Cox (Sherry) of London, Kentucky; one brother Guy Parsons of Mississippi; two sisters Carrie Rice of Bimble, Kentucky and Sophia Rice (Charlie) of Lilly, Kentucky.

Mr. Parsons was preceded in death by a daughter, Susanne Marie Ritchie of Kalamazoo, Michigan; one sister Vivian Cox of London, Kentucky; two brothers Jack Parsons of Barbourville, Kentucky and Ralph Parsons of Charleston, South Carolina.

Glen was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Deerfield Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
